News Letter #12
December 2011.
December was as normal not our fastest month hunting wise, but that is how things go. We are grateful for the season that we have had, having hunted with a good number of returning clients as well as a nice bunch of new clients.
The month was kicked off by returning clients Dirk Erasmus and Jurgens Du Preez hunting with us for Bushpig and Grey Duiker. We had a lot of fun and got in some serious hunting despite the rainy days.

Robyn and I have just spent a very hectic week at Highlands, saying good buy to Andre and Kokkie Van Zyl who have done a Stirling job of holding the fort down there for us since our take over of management in May this year. We wish them a very happy and healthy retirement down in Cape Town, their laughter and friendliness will be missed.
![]() |
It is also with sadness that we said good buy to Frikkie Brits who has decided to resign for personal reasons and head home back to the Barberton area of Mpumalanga. We wish Frikkie all the best with his future career.
![]() |
We have appointed the following staff from with in our current staff at Highlands; Heindre’ Van Der Bank as our Game Manager, Willum Swarts as our Grounds manager and Edwina Jooste as the Lodge manageress. We wish them all the best with their new positions and look forward to a great season ahead.
As a new appointee we have had 29 year old Jaco Storm, of Beaufort West join us under Heindre’s team as a PH. Jaco has a long history of hunting as well as being a ballistics nut, We feel that he will add value to our operation at Highlands and in general be an asset to the company.
From both Robyn and I we would like to once again thank all of our clients as well as our staff for their loyalty and support during 2011. We really appreciate all of you and value each and every one of you.
Have a blessed Christmas and trust in the Lord God of Heaven.

October 2011.
Good day to you the readers!
I trust that you and your families are all well. We here at THE BOX H have just ended another great month of Safaris, thanks be to our Lord God Most High in Heaven!
We started the month with new clients Bruce Stock and his daughter Madia and son Ronald. They were with us to hunt the mighty Cape Buffalo. We had a very exciting hunt for a old Dagga boy. We had a couple of very grumpy cows to deal with as well a bull that looked at us as if we owed him money!
“The Sanders Family,
Thank you for a memorable hunt.
My first and hopefully not my last Buffalo,
I am incredibly chuffed!”
Bruce Stock

Our next hunt saw long standing client Charles Weller returning and this time he was accompanied by Jonathan Lauthers of Houston Texas. We started the safari from home with a good Bushpig for Charles on the first afternoon and then after hunting in the Upper Umzinto area we headed for Pongola.
Here we hunted Warthog, Common Reedbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Impala, Blue Wildebeest as well as Nyala. The guys took some really good trophies!
“Going after Bushpig in the cane,
Is an adrenalin rush with no words to describe!
Hunting plains game in Pongola was superb.
Huge trophies!
Plus lots of time to walk up Ele’s”
Jonathan Lauthers

On Charles and Jonathan’s departure I headed down to the Hluhluwe/Mshlosinga area of Zululand, a bout an hour south of Pongola. Here I checked up on the pre-baiting for the up coming Hyena hunt with a returning Danish client of ours.
By the time of our client’s arrival we had a good clan feeding Despite lots of rain our client successfully hunted a very large Spotted Hyena on the very first evening that we sat!

September 2011.
For the most part of September I was down in the Beaufort West region of the Western Cape on our huge concession. We caught Springbuck on our one concession in the Northern Cape and moved them to our Beaufort West concession.
I then headed home for a bit and then back down to Beaufort West to hunt Eland with returning client Neels Nel and his father in-law Dries Olivier. We had a very pleasant hunt with two good bulls being taken.

August 2011.
August started off with us hunting with a new client Johan Steyn. Johan hunted with us on our KZN North Coast concession for both Red and Blue Duiker. Johan harvested two real beauties, with both making the book!
Johan has since rebooked with us to hunt – Vaal Rhebuck, Mountain Reedbuck as well as Oribi. We look forward to seeing him soon.
![]() |
The next clients to hunt with us were the husband and wife team of Trent and Cathy Barcroft. Trent was after a top notch Nyala, Common Reedbuck and a Bushpig. We had some very hard Bushpig runs and a lot of lousy weather to contend with but the results were good!

July 2011.
The month started off with my monthly trip down to Highlands. This time I was accompanied by my gorgeous wife Robyn our youngest son Caleb and friend and client Jacques Botha and his four English pointers.
We had a lovely trip with Jacques dogs doing a Grey Wing Francolin survey for us and Jacques took several springbuck for meat as well as a couple of Trophy rams. Frikkie took a really nice 17 ½” old Blessbuck ram. Our timing was perfect as we left for KZN to the sight large snow flakes drifting earthwards.
![]() |
Our return from Highlands was followed immediately by the commencement of a safari with fourth time returning client Herman Smalberger and his dear father in-law Daan. We hunted our North Coast concession for both Red and Blue Duiker. It was a great hunt, with lots of exciting sightings before Herman took his well placed shots.
“Got the smallest of them all, the forest ghost, yes the tiny Blue Duiker,
Thanks for a memorable hunt, Hilton!!
I will be back for more”
Herman Smalberger.
![]() |
Our next hunt was in the Jolivet area, hunting for Barry Cole. The hounds and this was the youngsters of our pack performed exceptionally, with us harvesting three big pigs (two boars and a sow) out of two different sounders!!! Well done Barry and well done my hounds!
![]() |
The following week saw us travelling to Highflats to hunt Bushpig for Mo Lister. We found as lot of sign that was from the previous day and the hounds were put to work on this old cold track. They performed very admirably and worked the tracks up to a point where the cold trail crossed the tracks of a trail from the previous evening. From here it was plain sailing. A sounder was found in the cane and after some pressure from the baying hounds the boar broke and was dispatched then the hounds went back in and got a sow to run. As she popped out the cane she too was despatched.
![]() |
So ended the hunting for the month as a hunt had to be postponed and then I was meant to fly down to Highlands, but knee deep snow on the planes at Highlands, as well as a snow blocked Molteno Pass put paid to that. So here I am snow and rain bound to the office at home! We thank the Lord for a good month and for good trophies. I would also like to thank you our clients for your continued support and loyalty, with out you we would not be in business!

May 2011.
My but is this year flying by!
As I write this news letter it is already the 21st of July! Sorry about only getting down writing this News Letter as well as the June 2011 News letter. I firstly want to thank the Lord my God in heaven for brining us the clients that we have had the privilege of hunting this month.
We started the month with a Pig hunt up in the Heidelberg area of Gauteng, with Barry Cole and Mo Lister and me travelling up with a bunch of hounds. The pigs up here have spread into this area over the last five years from the Belfast area of Mpumalanga. We had two long runs on two pigs over the two days in very hard conditions. The hounds worked well all concerned were satisfied with the results.
The next hunt was at Donald Roseveare's place in the Jolivet area of upper Umzinto. We had and excellent two days harvesting three very big pigs, the one boar weighed in at 121kg and nearly flattened Mo Lister.
![]() |
I then did the KZN leg of a Safari with Chris Cawood of Southern Cross Safaris and his American client, Mr. Frank Metzger of Iowa. Frank successfully hunted for a bunch of the "funnies", Aardwolf, African Wildcat, Cape Fox, Serval, and White Tailed Mongoose in the Northern Natal region. We then moved the safari to the Eastern Cape where Frank took a very good Oribi of 6"!
![]() |
Whilst I was hunting with the Chris and Frank Metzger our PH Gerrit Craffert did a hunt with a couple of clients from the Czech Republic and their agent, Gerrit was assisted by free lance PH Carl Webb. The one client Jan Velik hunted a Burchells Zebra, Impala, Vaal Rhebuck, and a very good Waterbuck of 28". The other client, Jiri Janouch hunted a Vaal Rhebuck as well as a 30" Waterbuck!
![]() |
Then to end the month of may on a very good note, we at The Box H Safaris, are pleased to announce that as of the 25th of May 2011, God has opened the door for us to take over the management and day to day running of our Flag Ship concession in the Western Cape near Beaufort West "Highlands Cape Colony". We thank the Lord above as well as Gordon for this privilege and honour.
We have appointed two young PH’s Heindre’ Van Der Bank and Frikkie Brits as resident PHs and Mr. and Mrs. Andre and Kokkie van Zyl as the mangers of Highlands Lodge and Jamie’s Camp. We welcome them to our team and wish them all the best with us. We look forward to sharing this absolutely magnificent and vast property with you our clients.

April 2011.
Another month has flown by and we are now a third of the way through 2011!!!
We started April with me and my friend, fellow writer and colleague Jason van Aarde co-outfitting a safari for Singaporean client Lawrence Wee and his Australian based sister Veronica. We hunted three of the Big Six, namely Elephant, Hippo and Buffalo as well a good Crocodile and got Lawrence started on his collection of mini antelope with a Grey Duiker. Lawrence only needs a Leopard to complete his Big Six collection.
The next hunt was with Barry Cole and Donald Roseveare, again repeat clients. We hunted both sugar cane fields as well as ending up in some steep and heavily bushed valleys. We harvested a total of five pigs!!! These pigs had been wrecking havoc in both the maize lands as well as the Macadamia orchards.
Next I made a quick flight down to Cape Town and a drive up to Beaufort West. Here I planned the capture and relocation of 300 head of Springbuck from a concession to another farm.
It was then another flight home and straight into another hunt at Highflats, this time with Mo Lister and his sons, Gavin and Mark as well as Barry and Neil Cole. Mo shot a huge Bushpig boar of 121kg and Barry Cole took another boar of 90kg. Both of these pigs are very impressive indeed, well done chaps.
The day after this hunt ended saw our PH Gerrit and his fiancée Sonel, Dennis Pickard (a taxidermist that we rate highly and whom we recommend that our clients use) and myself heading for Johannesburg for the inaugural HuntEx 2011 Hunting Show, where we had a booth.
I would like to thank all of our existing clients as well as the new clients that visited us at the booth for a chat and to book hunts; we did very well on the show guys, thanks a ton! We even had a couple of our overseas clients pop in to see us!
![]() |
To end the month off Robyn and our two youngest children Ashleigh and Caleb plus Gerrit drove down to Beaufort West to supervise the game capture operation of the 300 Springbuck. We were well looked after on Highlands by Gordon and Celia Verhoef and the staff.
Watch this space for the May 2011 News Letter as we will have some very exciting news for all of our clients!!!

We started with a hunt with returning client, Mr. Richard Eales, his wife Wendy and children Robert and Nicole. We hunted hard for Bushpig as well as having some good family time together.

This hunt was followed by Richard Eales returning, this time with his wife Wendy. We hunted our North Coast concession for Red Duiker as well as Blue Duiker.
Our next hunt was a hunt that we had donated to C.I.C. for their Hunting for Treasure auction, which is held annually at the convention. We had a wonderful husband and wife team, Claes and Kirsten Gronhagen purchase the hunt. We spent several days hunting Bushpig as well as hunting a big bull Baboon for Kirsten in the Utrecht area of KZN.

February 2011.
February kicked off with us hunting in the Jolivet area for Bushpig with the Cole and Roseveare families we had a great hunt with us bagging four good and Bushpigs in the two days.
“Hounds worked very well in bad dry windy conditions. Hunted hard with a reward of four big pigs!”
Donald Roseveare.

We next hunted with returning client Werner Terrablanche and his friend Rudi Brits, who was hunting with us for the first time. We hunted the Wartburg Dalton areas for Bushpigs.
“What an experience, thank you for some great everlasting memories”.
Rudi Brits.

This hunt was followed by two wonderful days of having returning clients/friends Gordon and Celia Verhoef with us. Whilst the ladies stayed at home and chatted, Gordon and I spent the mornings running Bushpigs!
Our last hunt of the month was with PH and outfitter Armand Aucamp of Iliza Safaris and his client Dietmar Krupke. We hunted both Red and Blue Duiker. Dietmar took two Rowland Ward trophy rams from the same spot less than an hour apart!!!

January 2011.
We thank our Lord in Heaven, the God Almighty for yet another year to come of walking with Him as we go about our daily tasks. May we always walk in His will!
We started the season with our first hunt being cancelled at the very last minute due to our client Greg, slipping and falling at the beach the day before his safari was due to start. He sustained a bad injury to his shoulder as well as concussion which did not bode well for the use of his hand gun. Greg, we all wish you a speedy and complete recovery and look forward to seeing you later in the year.
Our next hunt was with returning client Richard Eales and his young son Robert. We hunted Bushpigs over the hounds as well as with the creep and crawl method in the maize.
Richard shot a good boar at point blank range with us sitting on our butts in the maize field in the inky black of night! Well done Richard!
![]() |
This hunt was followed by another hunt down in the Jolivet area of Southern KZN. Here we again hunted Bushpigs with the Cole and Roseveare families. The hounds worked extremely well with a large Sow being shot on the first day by Mr. Trevor Roseveare, just before the sow headed back down into the Mtwalume Valley.
![]() |
The next day saw us harvesting a pair of boars in the sugar cane out of a sounder of five or six pigs. Mr. Barry Cole and his cousin Donald Roseveare did the honours of bring the boars to book. As it was early in the day we set out to see if we could find another sounder of pigs (there are a lot of sounders on these properties belonging to the Cole’s and Roseveare families, as well as the neighbouring farms and tribal area.
![]() |
The tracks of two large cane and maize raiding pigs were found and the spoor hounds Soot, Banjo and Baron along with Joss were let go to do what they do best and that is cold trail pigs to their day time beds!!! That is just what they did. Several hours later after a lot of running, crawling and getting stuck by a multitude of thorns I managed to shoot a very large boar in the Mtwalume gorge. The extraction took 10 guys 3 hours to accomplish!

December 2010.
Well another whole year has almost flown by and come to an end once more!
We ended this year with two hunts conducted during December. The first hunt was with two new clients Jurg du Preez and Dirk Erasmus. We hunted Bushpigs together and had a lot of fun. They have both re-booked a hunt in July 2011, we are glad to have you coming back to us guys!
“First of many. See you in 2011. God bless’’.
(Dirk Erasmus)
“Baie dankie vir ’n ongelooflike ervaring.
Dankie vir jul gesorgheid en medeelsaamheid.
Ek het dit baie geniet!
Sien julle in 2011”.
(Jurg du Preez)
This hunt was followed by our very last hunt for 2010. Herman Smalberger returned to hunt with us for a third time. We hunted in the Eastern Cape on our Cedarville concessions for Common Reedbuck, Mountain Reedbuck and Oribi. Once again Herman’s father in-law Daan accompanied us as a non hunter. We had yet another excellent hunt see below for Herman’s comments –
“3rd Hunt with Hilton

November 2010.
Yet another month has passed and we are now headed for the Christmas count down!
We had a fairly quiet month by our normal standards with us conducting just two hunts this month. Our first hunt was with a new client, Werner Terblanche. Werner hunted a very good Giraffe bull in the Spionkop area of Kwa Zulu Natal. The bull collapsed in a heap after a very well placed shot from a .375” H&H Mag.
Once in a lifetime experience! Thank you Hilton & family
for having me & making my Giraffe experience weekend memorable.
Until next time……
Our next hunt was also for a big old “Stink Bull Giraffe”, this bull was hunted by
Mr. Coenraad van der Westhuizen. Coenraad double tapped this majestic old bull with his .470” N.E. double rifle. A job very nicely done!

October 2010.
Hi there all and welcome to our latest News Letter. Robyn and I along with our family and staff trust that you are all well.
We have had a good month with us conducting three safaris. This is great as we had a hunt postponed and our God in Heaven brought us two last minute bookings!
Our first safari was with returning client Daniel Mulholland of London, UK. Daniel hunted with us in the central Karoo. We hunted Cape Eland, Blessbuck, Grey Rhebuck, Black Wildebeest, Klipspringer as well as Jackal. Daniel took very good trophies that made both Rowland Ward as well as S.C.I. I have written an article on this safari, so watch out for it in the December 2010 issue of African Outfitter.![]() |

My third hunt with Hilton and certainly the best. You certainly exceed yourself each time!! The hospitality was second only to the guiding prowess of Mr. Hilton Sanders. I shall spread the word!! Looking forward to hunting with you again soon.
Our next client was Major (ret’d) Karl Heinz Ott of Buchholz, Germany. Karl hunted with us for two days for Bushpig. We worked hard and ran pigs on both days in the mist and rain! “Just like Europe!” We hunted in the Wartburg / New Hanover areas based at our home in York.
![]() |
Many thanks for two exciting and entertaining hunting days especially with your well-trained hounds.
Our last safari of the month was with Mr. and Mrs. Ramon & Chacha Gonzalez of Washington DC, USA. These clients were brought to us by PH and Outfitter Graham Jones of Graham Jones Safaris. We hunted for Bushpig and Caracal over our hound packs.
The hunting was hard as we had to select carefully which sounder of pigs to run as Ramon is a game 72 years old. On the 5th morning we found a sounder that suited our requirements as to where we found the sounder. By 11-15am that morning we had a great big old sow and boar on the ground and ready for pics! Then it was off to Utrecht to hunt Caracal over our Cat pack.
![]() |
Got them (2) today, after 5 days!....We never gave up. What a wonderful hunt! A wonderful family, a great Outfitter who really knows his business. #1PH for pigs in ALL SA!
That then brought us to the end of the month. We as a family and outfit would like to thank those of you that have trusted us for your hunting requirements and trust that you will be blessed and that we will see you all again soon.

September 2010.
September saw us experiencing what all Outfitters do not enjoy in the least and that is last minute cancellations! We had two groups of clients cancel on the last moment, just a few days prior to the start of their safaris. These cancellations were due to health reasons and so could not be helped. We pray that you guys get well soon.
These cancellations actually turned out to be a blessing in the long run as not being away on safari allowed me to be with my precious wife Robyn as she supported her dad who went into ICU on the 4th of September with a huge abscess in his chest cavity between his heart and lungs. As of today he has been in ICU for the last 8 weeks. He is now thanks to the healing power of Jesus on the mend!
Whilst on the subject of getting well all of us at THE BOX H wish John Abraham of Madubula Safaris a speedy and full recovery from his encounter with a 91kg Leopard.
The first hunt that we did in September was to hunt Bushpigs with Barry Cole in Jolivet. We thank Barry and his family for their continued support and encouragement as valued clients.
The following week I took my sons Jesse, Seth, Falco and Caleb as well as Geoffrey to hunt Bushpigs for Mr. Edgar Kriel in the Fawn Leas area. A total of three pigs were shot, with Jesse, Seth and Geoffrey each shooting a pig. Well done my boys!![]() |
That was all for September, we start October off with a safari in the Karoo with returning client Mr. Daniel Mulholland Esq of the UK, so be sure to check out this spot for a look at what we got up to!
Keep well and keep visiting our site.

August 2010
Hi there every one, I trust that all of you that visit our website are fit and well. Firstly I must apologise for not getting the August and September News Letters posted on the site earlier.
We started a safari in Zululand for Madubula Safaris. We hunted with a husband and wife couple from Denver Colorado, USA. In Zululand we took the following species with some really great stalks on the shores and hills surrounding Lake Jozini – Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, an ancient Warthog, Zebra, Nyala and Impala. The safari then moved to the Northern Cape where we hunted in the southern Kalahari. Here we took 2 good Springbuck, Red Hartebeest, Grey Duiker, a 42” Sable, Steinbuck and Gemsbuck as well as an Ostrich.
Our next safari started in the Kalahari with the clients flying in from the DFW area of Texas, USA. We got off to a good start with a male and female Springbuck followed by a Zebra, Black Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest we then relocated the safari to Moketsi where we hunted a Gemsbuck and good Warthog. From here we took a charter flight to Zululand.
This flight must have been one of the shortest on record. We developed serious engine problems just after take off. These problems led to engine failure and a forced landing! However Praise God we made it down to terra firma safely. It was a majority vote as to us driving to Zululand from then on! My client took a very respectable Common Reedbuck in the Hluhluwe area.
This brings us to the end of August. The Box H

News Letter #6
June 2010
It was yet again another blessed month for us here at THE BOX H. As I told you all in the May News Letter, we had a couple of safaris carry over from May into June.
We then had a much needed weeks gap between safaris. We spent the most of this time at home. Robyn and I got to do quite a bit more work in the garden and in our home. The upgrading of our home base is on going and is really starting to pay dividends.
We as a family took the time out for a short two day trip to Utrecht to visit Gerrit and his family as well as have a meeting that looks to produce some exciting developments up there for our clients in the near future.
This gap was followed by returning clients Mike and Sharon Parton (our Appy, Geoffrey’s folks) hunting with us for 7 days in the East Griqua Land area of KZN/Eastern Cape. We hunted the mountains for Vaal Rhebuck, Common Reedbuck and Mountain Reedbuck.
We had a great safari, despite the severe cold and snow. The days were so beautiful but my, was it bitterly cold. This is what Mike had to say -
“Great Time As Always See You Soon – Reedbuck In The Snow – Never Again Brrrr!!!!”
Following this hunt we had 6 days at home. The kids and I took our Bushpig pack up to the farm of Barry Cole in the Joilvet area for the second of our “Family” Bushpig hunts. We hunted one day instead of the usual two days.
We had a very enjoyable hunt in the bush clad valley behind Barry’s home. We shot two Bushpigs that day. Barry took one bushpig and his eldest son Gareth took a very big boar, with a white head and mane.
(pic- The family Shoot)
We would like to wish our Namibian client, Maartin Gerber a speedy recovery after his opp which caused him to postpone his safari from this month to September 2010. We look forward to hunting with you then, Maartin.
Keep well and thanks for visiting our website and reading our news letters!

“Had a great time, great trophies, will be back next year for the bushbuck!!!
My next safari was with Belgian client Olivier Rolin Jacquemyns. Olivier is head of the Belgian Delegation of the C.I.C. (International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation). We hunted on three of our Kwa Zulu Natal areas and harvested the following species – Bushpig; Aardwolf; Blessbuck; Nyala; Common Reedbuck; Grey Duiker; Red Duiker and a Steinbuck.
“Great time with a great family. A hunting I will not forget.”

April 2010
Again we have had busy and enjoyable month hunting with five groups of clients. We saw our clients taking a bunch of good trophies, which is always great.
Our first safari saw myself and PH Gerrit Craffert hunting with Charles and Anja Weller of Germany on their forth safari with us and their friends Dr's Herman and Ulrike Kraemer with came them on this hunt for their first safari with us. We hunted Bushpigs over our hounds, Blue Duiker as well as Red Duiker. Dr. Ulrike Kraemer harvested a magnificent 3¼" Red Duiker with an excellent but difficult shot!
….hunting was great…..good food, good company and a good stay. Thanks again and see you all soon. Charles Weller.
On completion of this hunt apprentice PH Geoffrey Parton and I headed for our Umkomaas Valley concession where we hunted with Linda Donaho and Tyge Floyd. Linda is the host and owner of the Reality TV show "THE AMERICAN HUNTRESS" aired on The Sportsman's Channel.
We hunted record book Oribi, Common Reedbuck, Red Hartebeest, a big old "Blue Bull" of a Cape Eland, and ended up with a Bushpig over our hounds. Linda and Tyge got three episodes filmed for the TV show. So look out for us in June and July on
"THE AMERICAN HUNTRESS".
I have had the privilege to have hunted 7 African countries with a couple of dozen different PH's. I count Hilton among the top of the craft. He is positivelythe hardest working hunter I have spent time in the field with….. Tyge Floyd.
This is my 15th Safari………I have met many PH's & Outfitters & Hilton is right up there in the top. I have never seen a more dedicated, hardworking & loyal PH……..
I also can't say enough about the entire team. It has been a joy to spend the last 9 days with them. Linda Donaho.
Whilst we were busy with this safari, PH Gerrit Craffert was off hunting in the Utrecht area with client J.P. Villion. They hunted Impala, Blessbuck as well as Bushpig on bait. J.P. harvested himself some really nice animals this on his forth safari ever!
Straight after the Donaho Safari, Apprentice PH Geoffrey Parton and I headed for our concession in the Hluhluwe area of Zululand. Here we hunted with returning clients Peter Kempen and his fiancé Carina. Peter harvested a beautiful old record book class Nyala Bull as well as a 5" Grey Duiker and a 3 3/8" Red Duiker. Peter has now collected all three of Southern Africa's Duiker species with us and all are well into Rowland Wards Records of Big Game. Well done Peter!
Great Place + Great Hunt!……Great Red & Grey Duikers (Both R.W.) and an excellent old Nyala bull….. Peter Kempen.
We ended the month off with Mr. Gordon Verhoef his lovely wife Celia and his son Greg joining us for a Bushpig Hunt over our hounds. A very good boar was harvested.
Extreme Pig Hunting Great Fun,…..Wonderful Hospitality From The Sanders Family. Greg Verhoef..

Our next hunt was with returning client, Mr. Richard Eales. Richard is a very capable handgun hunter. He hunted Blue Wildebeest and Zebra with his custom built .500" S&W in the Weenen/Colenso area of KZN. We also hunted some very hard running Bushpigs with the .454 Casull around our home base at York, near New Hanover.
March came to an end with Danish client Anders (Andy) Larsen joining us to hunt for the smaller predators and other nocturnal creatures to add to his fine trophy collection. PH Gerrit Craffert ably guided Andy in the harvesting of Aardwolf; African Wild Cat; Cape Fox; Porcupine; Scrub Hare; Striped Pole Cat and a White Tailed Mongoose. Well that is all for March, Robyn and I wish you all a blessed Easter and if you are travelling, please do so carefully! Remember to check out our sight regularly for the latest news at THE BOX H! .
Next we had Mr. Alan Munro; his son Clint and Clint's father in-law Dave Bisset join us for a Bushpig hunt. We hunted in the Richmond area of the KZN Midlands. The pigs were hammering the farmers maize crop. We let three of our spoor dogs (strike hounds) go at the spot of the most crop damage.
From my wife Robyn and myself, we would like to thank you for taking the time out to visit our website and read this news letter we pray that Our Lord in Heaven will keep you and your families all safe this month.
